Newly minted Dancing With The Stars competitor David Arquette talked to Ellen DeGeneres about his sobriety and the dissolution of his marriage to estranged wife, Courteney Cox.

The former couple decided to go their separate ways in October 2010, and he said that the heartbreak made him drink more and think about committing suicide.

He said, “We had grown apart for quite a while and I was just really heartbroken over it. I used it as an excuse to accelerate my drinking. You know, to be honest, I didn’t want to live anymore.”

He went on to reveal, “I didn’t know how to deal with these feelings. And part of getting sober, it’s really difficult at the beginning. You are confronted with all of these new emotions. You know, you’re not good enough.”

Thankfully, David was able to move on and is doing much better. He’s been keeping himself occupied with his new role on DWTS. He said, “I’m exhausted. I’ve been dancing for like five hours a day. It’s amazing. Every bone aches. I’m started to get a little situation. I did it because I love dancing. A lot of the themes that are involved with dancing are involved with sort of my way of life now. Balance, staying connected to your core, being in touch with everything around you, the flow of life.”

He revealed, “And that’s what it’s sort of about for me. It also gave me an opportunity for people to get to know me. Because they may have preconceived notions of who I am. Just to be out there and have fun and entertain people because I’m an entertainer.”

Dancing With The Stars competitor Carson Kressley has revealed who he thinks is going to walk away with the Mirror Ball trophy on the upcoming season of the show. Here’s a hint: It’s not himself!

According to In Touch Weekly, Carson believes that George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, has a good chance of taking the coveted trophy. He said, “She probably could win. She has long legs, and she’s gorgeous – of course she’s going to be able to move!”

He also revealed that he’s got his eye on another competitor, Ricki Lake. He said, “I think people are discounting Ricki because she is older, but I believe she’s going to be great. She has a musical theater background, so I think she is going to be a hidden threat!”

Carson added that he’s not threatened by David Arquette’s talent, but by his good looks. He said, “I have a little ‘man crush’ on him. He’s like the male version of Demi Moore to me!”

After almost a month of treatment, Scream actor David Arquette has left rehab!

Just yesterday, the actor checked himself out of the rehab facility, of which he entered to get help for “alcohol and other issues.” At least it wasn’t court mandated, right?

His rep confirmed the news, saying, “He has completed his treatment and has left.” Another source said that he is “in great spirits. He’s feeling good and he’s ready to move forward.”

When asked about his career, David’s rep said, “David is concentrating on his health and well being right now…although David remains fully supportive and a huge fan of Beach’s Madhouse and the Roosevelt Hotel.”

Good for him for getting the help he needs!
