Kirsten Dunst’s character, Mary Jane Watson in the Spiderman franchise, is set to be written out!
After the fourth installment, Kirsten is set to be replaced by a new love interest for Peter Parker, Anne Hathaway.
Spiderman 4 is set to start shooting in 2010. A source said, “The plan is for her character to be written out, probably by dying. Anne will take over as Peter Parker’s new love interest for this project and for Spiderman 5 and 6 which are being written now. Anne’s in L.A. doing a lot of meetings on the movie, because filming is right around the corner.”
I like Anne Hathaway, but Spidey only had one true love, Mary Jane.
If they were going to write out Mary Jane (which I don’t think they should do since she is so important to the mythology) they should swap her for Gwen Stacey, not Felicia Hardy or anyone else.
